Mr. Greg Laudeman
BellSouth

Mr. Laudeman launched Engineers Week by presenting a proposal to take paper out of business. He presented the life cycle of Electronic Data Information and stated examples of progress. A security concern noted was the potential outside access to confidential and proprietary information. He predicts however that electronic data systems will be the natural order of business. He compared the $20 per order by paper methods to the $2.50 per order by electronic means. Competition and a growing computer literate customer will dictate this change. A plant trip to BellSouth in being arranged and is tentatively scheduled for March 31. Program Chair: Jim Bailey & Kendra Ware
