Cleveland Utilities Past, Present and Future We continue our monthly program on public utilities. |
| LAST MEETING | Mr. Bunky Wright of Moccasin Bend Treatment Plant presented the history, present and future outlook for his company. The facility was established in 1952 with expansion in 1961, 72 and 81. The 1973 City Annexation resulted in a $304 million investment to date. Investment prior to that was $29 million. The operation became regional in 1977 and greatly expanded in 1981. Accomplishments over the years have included AMSA Silver Awards, the first industrial pretreatment program approved by EPA and the State, continuous safety awards and a high level of certified operators. The future of MB includes a new hydraulic weather expansion. |
