LAST MEETING       UTC Head Coach Henry Dickerson gave a preview of the
upcoming 1997-98 men's basketball season.  He commented this year's team
would be very competitive but not as athletic as last year's team. Last UTC
received much exposure and the returning team members are very aware of the
work necessary to achieve that level of success. These members are actively
preparing the new members for such an endeavor. Coach Dickerson made
emphatically stated  that team members were first students, then athletes.
To continue this point Coach stated that one of the greatest thrills of the
season is watching the team members receive their bachelors degree at
graduation.
