COMING PROGRAM 
Fire Truck Project
Ron Reese & Tom Sturtevant
   Chattanooga State's "Fire Truck Project" placed 2nd in the SME national
robotics contest for two and four year schools. The project was student
driven involving fire science and engineering technology students working
together on the design and construction of the project.  Ron Reese and Tom
Sturtevant will present an overview of this award winning preoject.  Tom
will discuss the need and role of the fire truck in fire prevention
activities.  Ron will discuss the engineering and construction of the fire
truck.

LAST MEETING  Mr. Wayne Jones of Chattanooga State Technical Community
College discussed the Networking Technology Concentration under the
Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology Program. The primary goal of
the Networking Technology program is to train individuals to function as
entry level technicians in an environment where data/telecommunications
equipment exists.

ANNOUNCEMENTS The 1998 Officer Ballot and Absentee Ballot follows.  Elections will be held 
November 24, 1997 at the regular weekly meeting.  If you cannot attend that
meeting you can use this bulletin as your absentee ballot. Please circle the
candidate of your choice and return it to Lulu Copeland FAX 697-4493 or to
any Club Officer before next Monday's Meeting.

Ballroom on December 5, 1997.  The price of $25.00 per person includes live
entertainment. This event is co-sponsored by the Chattanooga Technology
Council, fifteen regional professional societies.
