| LAST MEETING | Nolan Henrich, of the Tennessee Valley Authority, presented Y2K and it’s impact on electric utilities. He also discussed the fact that Y2K is not an IS problem, but is, in fact, a plant problem. TVA has identified more than 4,000 items in a nuclear plant that could potentially have Y2K problems and are not traditionally identified as a computer or information system. This was another very successful joint meeting with the IEEE. |
| INTERNOTE | There is a list of sites (furnished by Volunteer Electric) that deal with the deregulation of the utility industry. For a copy of the list contact Ed Chapin at 266-9720. There are lots of Year 200 sites, for example, try www.year2000.com |
