LAST WEEK____________________________________________________________
Todd Bickerstaff, Mike Cunnyngham, Jeff Gomberg, and Bill Howard provided the tour of the NextLec facility on Amnicola Highway. NextLec is more than an internet service provider. It is delivering high capacity internet data communication services to businesses and individuals.
With bandwidth options ranging from 56K modem to OC3 at 155 Mbps, NextLec promises to be the best communication solution available. NextLec's broad band business commerce solutions include streaming media, such as broadcasting of live events with 21E and slingshot, voice over IP, corporate communication network to include phone, fax, electronic, and all data transfer, high speed ADSL (asynchronous digital subscriber line) to enable full length movie deliveries. The 11 month-old company has set out to build the superhighways needed to deliver the high volume of electronic freight being generated by governments, companies, and individuals. Some of NextLec's recent projects includes being chosen as for the delivery of 1999 Woodstock Festival, creating the webpage/website for Amway Quixtar, and providing the network solution for U. S. Xpress. Terry Reynolds commented that we are touring the FEDEX of electronic shipping, with Chattanooga as its hub.
