TIME: 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
(The luncheon room and service will be available by 11:45. a.m.
The business meeting will begin at noon and the speaker's presentation
around 12:20 p.m.).

LOCATION: The Cellar Restaurant -  basement floor of Union Square (Tallan
Building at the
corner of Chestnut Street and MLK Blvd.).

LUNCH:  Luncheon buffet will be available @ $10.00 total - No reservations
required.

THIS WEEK’ PROGRAM:

Speakers: Jim Johnston, PE, civil engineer with the Tennessee Department of
Transportation and
                Ken Flynn, assistant regional construction manager, also
with the Tenn. DOT.

Topic: The status of two important construction projects in the Chattanooga
area:

 The Interstate 75 and Highway 153 intersection
 The widening of the Olgiati Bridge.

Jim Johnston and Ken Flynn will provide us an update on the scope, schedule,
key design features, status and major construction challenges facing these
two projects.

LAST WEEK’ PROGRAM:
Dr. Richard Casavant  presented an overview of the economic development of
Hamilton
County and UTC's role in the economic health of our area. Dr. Casavant
serves as a Hamilton County Commissioner. He is also a member of the County
Commission's Economic Development Committee and serves as Chair of the
Education Committee. In July, he is slated to become Dean of UTC's College
of Business Administration.
