OUR LAST EVENT _______________________________________________
Field Trip to Sequoyah Nuclear Plant
Chattanooga Engineers Club members and guests received a royal tour of the nuclear power plant facility. Following an informative introduction of the plant by the plant manager himself, Dennis Koehl, our entourage of some 30 people was shown the various components of the plant. Guided by six well-qualified top engineers from the site, our group toured the steam turbine room, the generator area and even got to visit the control room. What made the tour even more special was that it was done while both generating units were in operation.
