NEXT WEEK (AT THE CELLAR)________________________________________________________

Monday, April 5, noon, The Cellar at the Tallan Building, Downtown

Topic: "Research and Development in Unmanned Aircraft and Military Guidance Systems" - Mr. Bob Pap, Accurate Automation

Homeland Security is at the top of the news nearly every day.  How does America remain the most advanced and innovative nation when it comes to keeping our citizens safe from terrorism?  Often, it’s by having military systems that eclipse any other on the planet.  Accurate Automation Corporation is an innovative aerospace firm specializing in advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Guided Missiles.  They have been responsible for the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of UAV projects featuring technologies such as unique jet engines, advanced adaptive flight controls, flight computers, telemetry subsystems, and data acquisition subsystems.  There are also innovative image compression and authentication tools for secure real-time transmission via satellite.  Their customers include the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA, and the National Science Foundation.  Mr. Pap will discuss advances in these projects and new technologies such as flat plate plasma, friction drag reduction, wind tunnel research and the X-43 program.

Invocation/Pledge Chair for April:  Fisher Campbell
