NEXT MEETING: MONDAY, March 27 – “CITY WATER PUBLIC VS PRIVATE OWNERSHIP” – Donald C. Thomas, P.E. will examine and compare large (>100k population) US public vs privately-owned water systems, costs, performance, water export, and application to our situation in Chattanooga. Come hear this economic assessment of the recent proposals to manage our water supply.

Location: (Cellar Restaurant at 2 Union Square in the basement of the Tallan Building at M.L. King and Carter Street)

Menu: A buffet lunch for $11 will be available for attendees beginning at 11:30 a.m. Guests are welcome. Grilled pork, mashed potatoes, steamed brocolli w/cheese, peach cobbler.

Parking: Free parking is available for attendees at the Days Inn on Carter Street. Leave a notice on the dashboard indicating you are with the Chattanooga Engineers Club. There is also a parking garage behind the Tallan Building.

PREVIOUS MEETING MONDAY, March 20 – “Product and Data Lifecycle Management” Mark Corbett, Strategic Account Executive, SofTech Inc. spoke about the use of PLM software to manage configured products and complex processes. The benefits extend to reduced product development time, knowledge management, revision and version control, improved market response times and better electronic communication between collaborators worldwide.
