FIELD TRIP TO WRCB TV3 on May 22, 2006 – “High-Definition Television Broadcasting” – Meet at WRCB-TV, 900 Whitehall Road, Chattanooga, TN to visit the broadcast center and hear presentations by Tom Tolar, President/General Manager, and department managers on the implementation of high definition television broadcasting. Meet in the parking lot of WRCB-TV from 11:30 to 11:45 am. Please be on time. Tour will conclude around 1 pm. NO MEETING AT THE CELLAR MAY 22 but stop by for lunch before or after the tour, they would appreciate it.

DIRECTIONS: Northbound 27: Cross the river,take the Whitehall Rd. exit, turn right into the parking lot. Southbound 27: Take Signal Mtn Road exit to Dayton Blvd, south to Cherokee Blvd, turn right on Whitehall. >From North Chattanooga: Cherokee Blvd through the Tunnel, turn left at Cherokee Motel onto Whitehall Rd.

PREVIOUS MEETING Monday, May 15, 2006 “East Tennessee Hydrogen Initiative” – J. Ronald Bailey, PhD, P.E., UTC. Separate projects are coming together that will help make it possible for hydrogen fueled vehicles to get started in East Tennessee. Dr. Bailey gave us an overview of the research in progress and planned. Rather than relying on a network of hydrogen fueling stations along our freeway system, he mentioned ways to make hydrogen at home.
