FUTURE MEETINGS
March 24, 20008 – Dr. George Maul, Professor & Head of Dept. of Marine and Environmental Systems, Univ. of Miami. We will have heard 2 different views on the Global Warming debate. (March 10 and in 2007). As an expert, Dr. Maul will help us sort out fact from misinformation. Dr. Maul is a Fellow with the American Meteorological Society and the Marine Technology Society
March 31, 2008 - Plant Tour of Fillauer on Amnicola Highway. We will see where prosthetic devices (artificial limbs) are assembled. See lunch note below.
LAST MEETING
March 10, 2008 - An alternate view of climate change was presented. Richard Schultz introduced the DVD presentation titled "The Great Global Warming Swindle", edited by Dr. Richard S. Lindzen, IPCC & MIT. This alternate view demonstrated that global temperatures correlate much better with sun activity than with change in carbon dioxide. Further evidence is that change in carbon dioxide concentrations follow temperature rather than leading it.
