March 24, 2008, noon to 1 p.m. – "Global Warming - Fact or Fiction", presented by Dr. George Maul, Florida Institute of Technology.  We have heard two opposing views on the Global Warming debate (March 10 and in 2007).  As a prominent expert in this field, Dr. Maul will help us sort out fact from misinformation on a topic important to our standard of living and to the transportation and electric power industries in particular.

Dr. Maul is professor of oceanography and head of the Department of Marine and Environmental Systems at the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida and a Fellow with the American Meteorological Society and the Marine Technology Society.  His research topics include dynamics of ocean surface currents from satellite altimetry and numerical circulation models and quantifying climate and sea-level change from coastal tide gauge/weather stations.

Lunch is available on meeting dates for $11 beginning at 11:30 am from the outstanding Cellar Buffet.  Location: Tallan Cellar Restaurant, 200 West ML King Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37402.
