LAST MEETING
August 18, 2008, The Hydrogen Road Tour visited the First Tennessee Pavilion.  Then Jill Bratina of VW provided an overview of VWs commitment to Chattanooga and a general presentation on the VW Tiguan hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that is participating in the Hydrogen Road Tour.  The UT Chattanooga Center for Energy, Transportation, and the Environment sponsored the Hydrogen Road Tour appearance in Chattanooga. Hydrogen as a transportation fuel was featured and people who are working on the vehicles and fuel of the future were available to answer questions. A test drive of hydrogen-powered vehicles was also available.

This event is part of a 31-stop, 18-day Hydrogen Road Tour that will cross the U.S. from Maine to California, reinforcing the message that passenger vehicles and transit buses powered by hydrogen help promote America’s energy independence, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve air quality while preserving safety and U.S. jobs.  For more information on the road tour, visit: www.hydrogenroadtour.com or www.vwhydrogentour.com.
