"Creating a New Electric Vehicle and the Grid to Feed It" - Mark Perry, Director of Product Planning and Strategy for Nissan Americas will speak about  their new electric vehicle concept, which was created to draw attention to Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.'s global environmental efforts.  This concept is a way to expose American buyers to one of Nissan's most popular domestic market cars at a time when fuel economy and packaging efficiency is popular.  Mr. Perry will briefly discuss Nissan's Green Program 2010 and its focus on three core areas related to the environment:  reducing CO2 emissions, reducing exhaust emissions, and accelerating recycling efforts.

Mark Perry's teams are responsible for Versa, Sentra, Altima, Altima Coupe, Maxima, Quest and the electric vehicle programs. Perry leads the product planning teams to take approved vehicle concepts through development to launch and manage the product’s lifecycle.

Feb. 9 – Dr. Prem Chopra, Professor of Engineering Management at University of Tennessee and CEO of Integrated Voice Solutions, Inc. presented four principles of purposeful action from his latest book: Masters of the Game.  The first principle consisting of three phases:  Defining Purpose, Plan and Act, and Review and Renew.  Second principle including five positive core values:  Integrity, Commitment, Persistence, Teamwork, and Communication.  The third principle is managing your motivation:  Levels of desire, Lust, Wealth, Service and Freedom.  Dr. Chopra also discussed six business archotypes:  Leader, Entepeneur, Manager, Consultant, Trustee, and Intellectual.

The meeting location of the CEC is the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1 Carter Plaza. http://www.chattconvention.org/specifications.htm Professional Development Hours (PDH) are available for most meetings.  Free handicap parking spaces are available on the third floor of the parking garage for those with handicap permits.  When you exit the parking area, be sure to list your handicap permit number on the back of your parking ticket and hand your ticket to the parking attendant.
