NEXT MEETING___________________________

Monday, June 1 - Noon - DOUBLETREE HOTEL, Second Floor (407 Chestnut St., Chattanooga, TN 37402)

"High Definition Land Surveying: A Competitive Advantage in a Down-Turn Economy” – Shane Loyd - RLS Group, LLC

Tape measures are a thing of the past. The future includes high definition three-dimensional laser scanning.  If you can see it with your eyes, you can capture, digitize and model it.

Three-dimensional laser scanning provides high definition surveying for architectural, as-built, and engineering requirements. The level of detail captured by high definition survey technology is unparalleled.  While the surveying tools that are built with this technology are more expensive than traditional devices, they make the task of conducting surveys and creating three-dimensional maps easy and effective. High definition surveying makes data available quickly for a variety of disciplines, such as construction planning, engineering, demolition, and environmental classification.

The RLS Group, LLC, located in Chattanooga, has over 30 years of combined land surveying experience, utilizing the latest surveying tools.  Shane Loyd, owner and founder of The RLS Group, LLC, with more than 18 years of service in the surveying community, will describe high definition three-dimensional laser scanning, a revolutionary new technology for land surveying.  Mr. Loyd said that his company has benefited greatly by incorporating high definition three-dimensional laser scanning. The company has had a full work schedule, even during the economic slowdown.
