About the Chattanooga Technology Council

The Chattanooga Technology Council (CTC) was formed five years ago to help the officers of the local technical and engineering societies maintain membership and schedule better programs.

That problem solved, the CTC has turned its attention to community development, specifically more technology related jobs in the Chattanooga area (70 mile radius, three states, and more than two dozen counties).

The CTC has joined forces with the City of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, the Chamber of Commerce, the Chattanooga Manufacturer's Association and the State of Tennessee to assist and coordinate economic development efforts in the technology sectors.

Your company, regardless of size or location, will be included in the area efforts to create new technical jobs.

This site is designed to provide your company or organization accurate and current information about other companies and organizations, upcoming events and recent news that is of interest to a technical firm, and a place to let others know what you can do for them.

  • There is no cost to participate
  • News and information about seminars and projects, including venture capital, of interest to the growing firm
  • Links to resources for growth and improvement in your firm
  • You can "opt out" at any time, if the idea of participation is not attractive, or profitable

This effort is available to any firm that has technology at its core, is within 70 miles of Chattanooga, and wants to participate in development efforts (new jobs).

Our members are:

  • Businesses involved in technology, including suppliers of technical services
  • educational institutions with technology programs
  • governmental and non-governmental organizations with a role in economic development
  • technical and professional societies and individuals in technical professions

Our first project is the assembly of a "Technical Resource Book" of firms and organizations in the greater Chattanooga area, for use by the development professionals of the city, county, CMA, C of C, and state. For information about our directory, just click on this link. Participation in the directory is FREE and use of the directory is FREE. There will be no "printed" version of the directory. It will be available in "printable" and "searchable" form at this site.
