We can't do this alone!

The Chattanooga Technology Council has joined forces with the City of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, the Chamber of Commerce, the Chattanooga Manufacturer's Association and the State of Tennessee to assist and coordinate economic development efforts in the technology sectors. Your company, regardless of size or location, will be included in the area efforts to create new technical jobs.

Development is a coordinated task. Growing local firms to produce more jobs, and bringing new jobs to the area by convincing firms to locate in the area.

We do this through associations with our statewide partners:

we effectively form a state-wide Tennessee Technology Council to bring new firms to the area. We "cross the lines" into Georgia and Alabama as well.

In the Chattanooga area we have alliances with

These organizations help local firms grow stronger (and larger), as well as bring new firms to the area.

A great example of this is the effort by the Chattanooga Chamber to recognize innovation in the area. The 2002 Innovation awards were held on Friday, May 10, but you can still "go to the show" Click HERE for the entire presentation.

Our best partners are our members!

A great way to grow local business is to do "local business" whenever possible. Using local firms as associates and suppliers not only keeps the money in the area, but it promotes the growth in work force that is necessary to your own business expansion. Our members are:

  • Businesses involved in technology, including suppliers of technical services
  • educational institutions with technology programs
  • governmental and non-governmental organizations with a role in economic development
  • technical and professional societies and individuals in technical professions

Our first project is the assembly of a "Technical Resource Book" of firms and organizations in the greater Chattanooga area, for use by the development professionals of the city, county, CMA, C of C, and state. For information about our directory, just click on this link. Participation in the directory is FREE and use of the directory is FREE. There will be no "printed" version of the directory. It will be available in "printable" and "searchable" form at this site.
