In 2002, the Chattanooga Engineers Club sponsored two local teams in the international competition known as "First Lego League".
The teams are from the Tyner Middle Academy, a magnet school with a technology track, and the Chattanooga School for Arts and Sciences Middle School, a magnet school with multilple tracks.

In addition to the two teams that CEC is sponsoring, a third team was sponsored by the Girl's Preparatory School (GPS) and they are being coordinated by CEC with the two other teams.
This year's program finished with an E-week exhibition of all three teams at the Creative Discovery Museum.
The 2003 season starts with the release of the 2003 Challange in May. If you would like to volunteer as a mentor or have a suggestion about additional schools for next year's teams, contact Ed Chapin.
